Baby Bear Sees Blue by
Ashley Wolff My rating:
2 of 5 stars The lino-cut illustrations were impressive, but the story was really no match. The baby bear in this story shows complete dependence on its mother, with no child-centered initiative. There is really no story, just each thing in the world an excuse for the mother to tell the baby what he sees, and for the narrator to name a color, culminating in a rainbow and bedtime. Another bedtime book?
